Our Commitment to Accessibility
Best Friends Health Care Services LLC is committed to ensuring that our website and digital services are accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We believe that every person deserves equal access to information about health care services, and we continually work to improve the accessibility and usability of our website.
Accessibility is not just a legal requirement for us — it is an extension of our core mission to provide compassionate, inclusive care to everyone in our community.
Conformance Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA standards as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Accessible Features
Our website includes the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard Navigation: All pages and interactive elements can be navigated using a keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible on all interactive elements to support users who navigate without a mouse.
- Screen Reader Compatibility: Our website uses semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, and proper heading hierarchy to ensure compatibility with popular screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
- Alternative Text: All informational images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are properly marked so they are ignored by assistive technologies.
- Color Contrast: We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background colors to meet WCAG AA standards (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). Our design does not rely on color alone to convey information.
- Resizable Text: All text on our website can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. Our layout is responsive and adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
- Form Labels: All form fields include visible labels and are programmatically associated with their labels for screen reader users.
- Consistent Navigation: Navigation menus and page layouts are consistent across all pages to help users predict where to find information.
- Skip Navigation: A skip-to-content link is available to allow keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation menus.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our website may have limitations:
- Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these documents and can provide accessible alternatives upon request.
- Third-party embedded content (such as payment processing forms provided by Stripe) may have their own accessibility considerations that are outside our direct control. We select third-party partners who share our commitment to accessibility.
- Some animations may be challenging for users with motion sensitivities. Our animations respect the “prefers-reduced-motion” system setting where technically feasible.

If you need information on our website in an alternative format, or if you require an accommodation to access our services, please contact us. We will work with you to provide the information or service you need in a way that is accessible to you. Accommodations we can provide include:
